The Wheatland Music Festival takes place the weekend after Labor Day, from Friday through Sunday. The phrase “Happy Wheatland” is the universal greeting and festival mantra. It means exactly what you see on these people’s faces. Some loose translations include “peace,” “love,” and “is this the coolest place ever or what?” Anyone who has ever attended will tell you Wheatland is unique. Why? No one really knows.
